Flexible Stone veneer is a veneer with a top layer of natural stone 1mm thick and adhesive with fiber mesh approx. 1.0 mm thick. In other words Overall thickness is 1.5 to 3 mm.  It is used for both interior and exterior and especially where bending to a curved surface is required. Furthermore,  stone laminate are made from various types of slate ( schist) Quartzite, marble and sandstone.

Packaging - Stone Sheet

Packaging is an important part of dispatch, so we take proper care with packaging. 2x4 ft size sheets are packed in 20 piece corrugated box. Finally it will be packed in wooden crate where we pack 12- 15 boxes, depending upon the container stuffing needs.

Further bigger size say 122x244cm are packed in Wooden crates with 200-250 pieces per crate which are properly covered with styro-film and foam on the edges. All labeling and Pat strapping is done for better strength. If quantity is very small it will be rolled in 5 piece and packed in a corrugated box, which is mostly for quick supplies by Air.

What quantity of stone sheet is loaded in a full 20 feet container ?

Every distributor, wholesaler want to know the quantities loaded in a 20 feet container. Just for a quick view approx. 5000 m2 stone sheet are loaded in a full 20 feet container. Quantities may vary due to specific size as we use to prepare two regular size 610x1220x2mm and 122x244cm and extra large as 122x305cm. Supplies are dispatched through 1) Air and 2) Sea . Whereas Air shipment are mainly used for small quantities of stone Sheets and quick delivery requirement. However 20ft full container load is used to ship by sea. Sometimes when quantity of stone sheet is not for a full container, say minimum 1 or 2 wooden crate stone veneer. You may say a few Square meter say 150 - 500 m2. Veneer Sheets are shipped by sea grouped shipment, but make sure it takes extra shipping time and higher forwarding cost then full container shipment by sea. But for small quantities it is better, to ship by sea grouped shipment.
